Magnetotransport Properties of Ferro-Antiferromagnectic Bilayers Based on Ca-Doped Lanthanum Manganite

Resumen


We grew lanthanum manganite doped with Ca of the La1-XCaXMnO3 type in the ferromagnetic phases La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 and antiferromagnetic La1/3Ca2/3MnO3 via sputtering technique at high oxygen pressures. Electrical properties via temperature and thickness of the ferromagnetic layer dependence on the magnetotransport measurements were carried out. The dependence of the electrical resistivity with temperature under applied magnetic field gave us information about the transport mechanism of the conductivity if a transition phase is present in the range of temperatures measured, as is the case of our manganite system. In this research we determined the metal-insulator transition temperature for the different bilayers and its relation to the relative thickness of the bilayer. These results allow us to analyze the influence of the antiferromagnetic layer and interface contribution on electrical properties of ferromagnetic material.
